First Dips & Father's Day Memories on the Farm

This past weekend was one we’ll remember for a long time. With sunshine in the forecast and summer finally heating up, we loaded up the kids, packed the coolers, and spent the weekend at Steve Sr. (Dad's lodge) — and let us tell you, it was the perfect kickoff to summer.

What made it extra special? Summer and Blair got in the water for the very first time! Watching our two baby girls splash around in the pool brought a smile to everyone's face. There’s something unforgettable about seeing the next generation of our family making memories in the same places we’ve grown up loving.

With Mom even making the drive up to Gallatin for the weekend - we grilled out, rode around the farm, and took in the beauty of the Missouri summertime. It wasn’t about doing anything extravagant — just spending time together as a family, enjoying good food, cool water, and the simple pleasure of spending time outdoors. 

And with Father’s Day yesterday, it was especially meaningful to have the whole family together, with THREE father's now a part of the family — Steve Sr., Jesse, and Cole — soaking in moments with their daughters and Steve's granddaughters. Watching our Mom and Dad hold both Summer and Blair as they giggled poolside? That’s what life’s all about.

Steven did bring Sitka over to Dad's lodge to showcase his golden child ... so I guess Happy Father's Day to Steven too?

Out here on the farm, we work hard — but weekends like this remind us why we do it. Family always comes first.
