Our honey comes from a family-run apiary just down the road from McBee Farms — less than 15 minutes away. We know exactly where it comes from, how it's handled, and what goes into every jar. Which is to say: nothing but honey.
It's raw, unfiltered, and never heated above hive temperature. That means every enzyme, antioxidant, natural pollen particle, and antibacterial compound that the bees put into it is still in your jar when it arrives at your door.

What makes raw honey different from regular honey?+
Raw honey is honey in its natural state — straight from the hive with minimal processing. It retains all of its natural enzymes, antioxidants, pollen, and antibacterial compounds. Commercial honey is typically heated and ultra-filtered, which destroys most of these beneficial properties and makes it little more than a sweetener.
Why does raw honey sometimes crystallize?+
Crystallization is a natural process that happens in real, unprocessed honey — and it's actually a sign of quality. It means your honey hasn't been ultra-heated or over-processed. Simply place the jar in warm (not hot) water and stir gently until it returns to liquid. Never microwave it — that destroys the enzymes. Commercial honey is processed to prevent crystallization, which is one reason it's less nutritious.

Our honey comes from a family-run apiary less than 15 minutes from McBee Farms in the Midwest. We know the beekeeper personally and trust the sourcing completely — the same standard we hold for everything with our name on it. Is raw honey safe for everyone?+
Raw honey is safe for most people, but should never be given to infants under 12 months old due to the risk of infant botulism. This applies to all honey — raw or pasteurized. For everyone else, raw honey is a natural food that has been consumed safely for thousands of years. How should I store raw honey?+
Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Raw honey never truly expires — archaeologists have found 3,000-year-old honey in Egyptian tombs that was still edible. Keep the lid tight and avoid introducing moisture into the jar. No refrigeration needed — cold temperatures actually speed up crystallization.
Can I cook with raw honey without destroying its benefits?+
Some heat-sensitive enzymes will be reduced when raw honey is cooked at high temperatures. For maximum nutritional benefit, use raw honey unheated — stirred into cold drinks, drizzled over food, or eaten straight. For cooking and baking, it's still a far superior choice to refined sugar or commercial honey in terms of flavor and natural composition.
