Most tallow skincare brands source commodity tallow from industrial supply chains and slap a clean label on it. We do it differently. Our tallow comes from grass-fed cattle raised on our own family farm in Missouri — the same cattle we sell through McBee Meat Company.
Grass-fed matters because the nutritional profile of the fat changes based on what the animal eats. Grass-finished cattle produce fat measurably higher in omega-3s, CLA, and fat-soluble vitamins than grain-fed. That difference shows up in the final product.
We raise 100% grass-fed cattle on our family farm in Missouri. When beef is processed, the suet fat — the highest quality fat surrounding the organs — is reserved and kept cold until rendering begins.
The suet fat is slow-rendered at low heat — separating pure fat from any remaining tissue. This produces a clean, ivory-white tallow that is naturally shelf-stable, odor-neutral, and packed with bioavailable nutrients.
Once cooled, the tallow is whipped to a light, airy texture and blended with our five complementary ingredients. Each one chosen to enhance what tallow already does naturally. Then hand-packed into every jar.

Apply right after washing your face while skin is still slightly damp. The moisture helps the tallow spread more easily and absorb more effectively.

💡 If it feels greasy after 5 mins, you used too muchRub it between your fingertips for 5–10 seconds. Your body heat gently melts it from a soft solid into a silky oil — making it easier to spread evenly.
💡 The warmer it gets the more it feels like a serumUsing gentle pressing motions, work it into your skin starting at the center of your face and moving outward. Pressing drives it deeper into the dermis.
💡 Pay extra attention to the eye area and lipsGive it 2–5 minutes to fully absorb before applying makeup or going to bed. You should feel minimal residue. If still greasy after 5 minutes, blot gently with a tissue.

when the order arrived it was like milky type melted. i put it in the fridge until it got alittle less melted. put it on my dresser beside the air vent, product then became like a thick crunchy feel like a sugar scrub type feel. When i use it in the mornings and at night it feels sort of like sand paper. maybe it being from going to a melted type to a harden type material ?

VERY IMPRESSED! Mcbee tallow skin balm, lavender scent, is absolutely lovely. The lavender scent is not overpowering, and very natural, like a lavender field. I watched the show The McBee’s Dynasty and an episode where Kaciehas created a product with tallow. I was curious about the product so I looked it up online saw the ingredients, I said to myself I must have this so I ordered it through the McBees website. I ordered the skin bomb and the face cream. I use the skin balm for my body and I use the face cream, of course for my face and I must say this these products are awesome. I love the whipped texture of the cream. A little goes a long way. My heels aren’t so dry and cracked after using this skin balm. It really does soak in well and soften your skin. The smell is nice too. Not too overpowering..I would recommend using the skin balm.

I love your product but the shipping took a little longer than expected. I received the balm and it was very melted and hot from the shipping. I put in the fridge for about 10 minutes and it reacted well however the jar was not filled to the top. The cost is high for less than the 2 oz promised. Otherwise it’s a great product and is helping my skin feel softer.
Packaging wasn’t great, the product had melted and leaked. But it smells good and I like the way it feels on my skin.
